Vacancy Announcement: COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FACILITATOR (CDF), AILEU DISTRICT
Overview: The CDF is Plan’s main representative at suco and aldea level. He/she builds links with children and communities, helps communications between children, communities and Plan, supports the planning and implementation of Plan programs and ensures implementation of all Child Sponsorship communication processes.
Responsibilities include
· Establish and maintain good relationships with children, families, community leaders, staff of other NGOs, and government
· Train and lead community volunteers
· Facilitate sponsorship communications
· Monitor child protection issues
· Assist communities in the design, implementation and monitoring of development projects
· Manage own operating budget
· Contribute to development of Plan’s program and project plans
· Participate in evaluations and research
· Lead on suco and aldea level disaster risk management
Skills, qualifications and Experience
University degree an advantage
Experience in community development and experience of PRA a major advantage
Commitment to working with children and young people
Commitment to work in rural communities
Demonstrated skills and experience in planning, monitoring, budget management; report writing
Fluent spoken and written English an advantage
Able to ride motorcycle
Able to travel, work and stay in remote areas under difficult conditions

Strong commitment to the equal rights and participation of girls and women is essential
